BulevArt was co-founded by Snejina Tankovska, Lyubov Kostova and Kalina Dimitrova. The team now also includes Krassimir Terziev.
Lyubov Kostova
Lyubov has extensive experience in communications and management for the non-profit sector. Her special interests are in the public communication of science, culture and education, international cultural relations and non-profit causes, the development of international projects and networks, and theatre translation – all incarnations of various manifestations of communication.
With a Russian mother and a Bulgarian father, Lyubov grew up in Nigeria, has a degree in Indian Philology, multiple specializations and has translated over 70 theatrical plays. She worked for 9 years at the National Academy of Theatre & Film Arts, then for 22 years at the British Council, initially as Public Communications Manager, and from 2012-2022 as its Director. Since 2023 she has been part of the Beautiful Science Foundation which she co-founded – the leading organization in Bulgaria for the public engagement with science, home to the Sofia, Varna, Plovdiv and Travelling Science Festivals. She has also contributed to and organised a number of large scale art festivals and cultural events.
Lyubov is co-founder and Chair of the BulevArt Association.
Kalina Dimitrova
Kalina Dimitrova was born in 1975 in Gabrovo. In 2001 she graduated in Mural Painting at the National Academy of Arts, Sofia. She lives and works in Sofia. Kalina is co-founder and member of the Management Board of the BulevArt Association.
Krassimir Terziev
Krassimir Terziev is an interdisciplinary artist whose work spans a diversity of media, including video/film, photography, painting/drawing, and text, questioning the boundaries between reality and fiction, while exploring the manifold transitions and tensions between a globalized world, dominated by overwhelming multiplicity of symbolic imagery, and its material groundings in technological, physical and human ‘hardware’.
He holds a Ph.D. in Cultural Anthropology from Sofia University (2012), where is lecturing since, and an MA degree in Painting from the National Academy of Arts, Sofia (1997), where he lectured from 2009 to 2016.
His work is part of the collections of Centre Pompidou/MNAM, Paris; Arteast 2000+ Collection, Moderna Galerija Ljubljana; Sofia City Art Gallery, Sofia; Art Collection Telekom, Bonn; Kunstsammlung HypoVereinsbank, Munich; Gaudenz B.
